We are Riviera Racing, a fully student-run team at Cambridge University, dedicated to designing and building a zero-emissions electric catamaran for the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. Our project focuses on two key areas: providing hands-on engineering experience for students and driving innovation in sustainable maritime technology.

This year, we’re developing an all-electric outboard motor and custom battery system, with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance. A central part of our project is integrating a bespoke electric motor, developed in collaboration with Lynch Motor Company, which will power our boat.

We’re seeking support to help fund the motor drive, a critical step that will enable us to compete this summer. All funds raised will go directly toward the motor’s development and integration, allowing us to achieve a lightweight, high-efficiency propulsion system.
